Healthcare copywriting sample

A healthcare copywriting project: lead-capture pages for a cancer-treatment workshop, written to work within the rules of a regulated industry.

This was a first foray into health-related copy, and a useful test of the craft. The main challenge in this niche is legal: it is a regulated field, so every medical claim has to be supported by research or the endorsement of a qualified expert. The freedom to reach for dramatic angles is limited by what the law allows.

The campaign itself was straightforward in shape. Resellers would use their own marketing to drive traffic to different lead-capture pages inviting people to a live preview event. That meant creating several angles to promote the same programme — hooks and angles first, design second.

Healthcare copywriting tips for businesses

As with any regulated industry, there are limits on what you can say, and it pays to respect them. Within those limits, the job is still to capture attention and make the case — healthcare is competitive and sophisticated, with real demand from people actively looking for help. That is exactly why positioning matters: each lead-capture page had to tell a different story, giving resellers more ways to promote the same preview. The work was in the research and the angles, not in overstating the claims.
