Workshops
Corporate copywriting workshop in Singapore
Hands-on copywriting and marketing workshops that change what your team ships on Monday. Run in-house, built around the copy you are already publishing.
Over 500 working adults trained since 2015. ACLP-certified trainer, adjunct lecturer at Singapore Polytechnic, and still writing for clients the same week.
What your team learns
How to write copy that drives one clear action. The modules are picked to fit the session length and what your team actually produces:
- Research before writing: finding what your customer already believes, in their words, instead of guessing in a meeting.
- Offers: why a weak offer cannot be rescued by strong writing, and how to tell the difference.
- Headlines: formulas that work, and how to spot a clever one that will not.
- Landing and sales pages: structure, proof, and where readers leak away.
- Email: sequences written to earn the click rather than flatter the open rate.
- Briefing and editing: how to brief copy so the first draft is usable, and how to critique it without starting a fight.
Real feedback on your actual marketing, not generic exercises. Everything runs through the CULTIVATE method, so people leave with the frameworks written down rather than the memory of a good day.
Formats
| Format | Best for | What fits |
|---|---|---|
| Half-day | One skill, sharpened fast | A single focus: headlines, email, or editing to a standard |
| Full day | Most marketing teams | Research, offers, headlines and one channel in depth, with live critique |
| Multi-part programme | Building capability rather than awareness | Sessions spread across weeks with briefs in between |
Delivered in-house or online. Group sizes are tuned so everyone gets hands-on time.
A single day creates enthusiasm. Spaced practice with feedback between sessions creates habit. If the budget allows only one day, that is still worth doing, and I will tell you honestly what a day can and cannot achieve rather than overselling it.
How a workshop runs
- Before. You send a few live pieces of your copy and tell me what is not working. The exercises get built around those, not around invented examples.
- On the day. Short teaching blocks, then people write. Live critique on their own work, in front of the room, using shared language rather than opinion.
- After. The frameworks go home in writing. On multi-part programmes, briefs between sessions get reviewed so the practice continues.
The pre-work is the part that makes the difference, and it is the part most training skips. A workshop that uses your own underperforming landing page is a different experience from one that uses a case study about a company nobody in the room has heard of.
Who it is for
- In-house marketing and communications teams writing their own campaigns
- Agencies levelling up junior writers
- Sales and customer teams writing outreach and follow-up
- L&D managers who need capability rather than a box ticked
It is not a fit if nobody in the room will write anything afterwards, or if what you need is a motivational session rather than a working one.
What drives the fee
Quoted per engagement rather than listed, because a half-day for six people and a multi-part programme for thirty are not the same product. What moves the number: format and length, group size, preparation built around your copy, and any follow-up review between sessions. Send the format, the headcount and a rough date and you will get a figure rather than a meeting invitation.
Before booking, it is worth reading train your team or hire a copywriter, which explains when a workshop pays for itself and when it will not.
Frequently asked questions
Is the workshop claimable under SkillsFuture or WSQ-accredited?
Not at present. The workshops are not WSQ-accredited and cannot currently be claimed under SkillsFuture Credit. Accreditation is being worked on. If subsidy is a hard requirement for your budget, say so when you enquire and I will tell you honestly where that process stands.
What is the difference between a workshop and the course?
Depth and intent. A workshop is usually a single session on a defined topic, aimed at what your team ships that week. The course is the full method, and in its multi-week form it is designed to build capability that survives after I leave. Describe the problem and I will tell you which one fits.
How long is a workshop?
From a focused half-day to a multi-session programme, depending on your goals and team size. Most teams start with a full day.
Can it be customised to our brand?
Yes, and it always is. Every workshop is built around your offers, audience and real examples. You send live copy beforehand and the exercises use it.
How many people can attend?
Small enough that everyone gets their own work looked at. Live critique is where the learning happens, and past a certain point the room has to be split into groups or people become spectators. Tell me the headcount and I will tell you whether it needs splitting.
Can the workshop run online?
Yes, though shorter sessions work better online than a full day on screen. Live critique relies on people reading each other’s work and reacting to it, which holds up over video in shorter blocks and degrades across a long day.
Do you train teams outside marketing?
Yes. Sales, customer success and founder teams all write to customers, and the same principles apply. What changes is the examples used on the day.
