Copywriting services

Copywriting services in Singapore

Every service here does one job: turn attention into revenue. Direct response and SEO copy, written by a practitioner who also teaches the craft.

Copywriting, not content writing

Content educates and builds interest, and you can outsource it cheaply. Copywriting is different: it uses words to attract the right buyer and move them to act, whether that is a brochure, a sales page, an email or an ad. I use direct response principles, so every piece is written to convert, not just to fill space. For a fuller explanation, see the guide to copywriting vs content writing.

The services

Sales and landing pages

The page that has to close. Research into the objections standing between your reader and the purchase, then a page built to answer them in the order they arise. Sales page copywriting, or long-form sales letters where the reader is colder and the argument has to be made in full.

Email sequences

Welcome, nurture, launch, re-engagement and post-purchase. Written to earn the click rather than flatter the open rate, and mapped into your existing platform. Email copywriting.

Direct response ads

Short copy where every word costs money. One offer, one action, written for the platform it runs on. Ad copywriting.

Website copy

Home, about and service pages that say who you are, who you help and why to act, without the filler most sites inherit from their first draft. Website copywriting.

Content strategy

Before the writing: what to publish, for whom, in what order, and whether each piece has to win search, citation in an AI answer, recommendation, or conversion. Runs as a standalone engagement or ahead of a writing project. Content strategy consultation.

SEO copywriting and content writing

An SEO expert can rank a page; a copywriter can persuade. An SEO copywriter does both. Good SEO copy is written around the topic rather than keyword density, stays customer-oriented, reads easily with clear structure, and places terms strategically in titles, headings and links. The pages connect and reinforce one sales message, because your website is a marketing system, not a set of stand-alone pages. More in what an SEO copywriter does.

What every project includes

  • Research into your market, competitors and the words your customers actually use
  • SEO-ready structure: titles, headings and internal links handled as part of the writing, not bolted on after
  • Two major revisions, including a rework of the angle after a live test
  • The reasoning, documented, so you can defend the page to someone who did not commission it
  • Copyright in the finished work, transferred on final payment

How a project runs, step by step

  1. Discovery: a short questionnaire and conversation to understand your offer, audience and goal.
  2. Research: your market, competitors and the exact words your customers use.
  3. Draft: copy written for the channel and the one action it needs to drive.
  4. Test and refine: two major revisions, sharpened against how the copy performs.

That sequence is the CULTIVATE method. It forces the research to happen before the writing rather than instead of it.

How to hire a copywriter without guessing

Three questions separate a writer who will do the work from one who will fill in a template:

  • What results can you show, with numbers? Adjectives are free. Figures are not.
  • What do you need from me before you start writing? A writer who wants your customer interviews, objection list and past campaign results is going to research. One who only wants a word count is going to guess.
  • What would you measure on this project? If there is no answer, there is no way to tell afterwards whether it worked.

Mine are on the portfolio: three results with figures attached, and a full writing sample published in the open.

How the work is priced

Most projects are quoted as a fixed fee against a defined outcome, so you know the cost before we start. Every project includes research and two major revisions. See the rates page for the three ways copywriters charge, where the Singapore market tiers sit, and what moves a quote up or down.

Three things worth reading before you commission anything: is your copy the problem, how to brief a copywriter, and whether to train your team or hire a writer.

Frequently asked questions

How do I hire a copywriter in Singapore?

Send the page or campaign you are working on through the contact page. You get a written copy audit back within three working days, with the three changes I would make first and a recommended next step. No call required, and no obligation to proceed.

What makes a good copywriter?

Research discipline more than writing flair. The best copywriters spend most of the project finding out what the buyer already believes, what they have tried before and what they are quietly afraid of, because that determines what the copy has to argue. Writing well is the entry requirement, not the differentiator. The second marker is whether they can explain why a line is there.

What is the difference between copywriting and content writing?

Content writing informs and builds an audience, usually measured in volume published. Copywriting drives a specific action and is measured on conversions. Both matter, in a ratio that depends on your funnel, and working out that ratio is a strategy question before it is a writing one.

Do you offer SEO copywriting as well as direct response?

Yes. The two work best together: copy written to convert the reader, and structured to rank in search and be cited by AI answers. Ranking is the easy half; the page still has to ask for something once the reader arrives.

How long does a copywriting project take?

Most standard projects take about two weeks, with larger ones longer. The variable is research depth rather than writing time. Expedited work is sometimes available at a premium.

Can you work with my existing copy rather than start over?

Often, and it is usually cheaper. The audit will tell you whether your page has a copy problem or a traffic problem, and rewriting a page that nobody visits fixes nothing. If the bones are sound, a rework beats a rebuild.
