The five minutes that actually run a lesson
Five minutes is the default unit of classroom time: a warm-up, a pair discussion, a station, a pack-up window, the break between two Pomodoro rounds. It is also the length people are worst at estimating, which is exactly why putting it on a screen changes how a room behaves.
This opens ready to go at five minutes. Press Start, and if the discussion is worth protecting press + 1 min instead of cutting it off — the finish time and the alarm both move, and nothing resets. Turn on the warning chime in Settings for a soft note thirty seconds or a minute before the end, so \”finish your sentence\” lands before \”stop\” does. For rotations, set a chime every few minutes and let the timer run the whole activity.
