Fifteen minutes for work that needs a run-up
Fifteen minutes is the shortest block in which most people actually get somewhere: a proper piece of writing, a group working through a problem, a revision sprint for students who find twenty-five too long to commit to. It is also the standard long break in the Pomodoro method.
Press Start and leave it on screen. If the room is close to finishing when it runs out, + 1 min keeps the session alive rather than ending it — the alarm re-sets to the new time automatically. Set the warning chime to two minutes in Settings and you get a natural \”start wrapping up\” signal that does not require you to raise your voice. Press Space to start or pause without touching the mouse.
