30 Minute Timer

Half an hour of protected time

Thirty minutes covers a half-lesson, a timed essay, a practical, or a serious revision block. Over a stretch this long the ticking seconds stop helping and start distracting, which is why this timer can hide them: turn off \”Show seconds above 10 minutes\” in Settings and it shows whole minutes until the last ten, then switches back to seconds for the part where they matter.

Set a warning chime for five minutes before the end so students can land their work instead of being cut off mid-sentence. If you are circulating, pop the timer out into a floating window and it stays above whatever else is on your screen. Nothing is uploaded, no account is needed, and if you refresh by accident the timer offers to pick up where it left off.
