Think–Pair–Share Timer

All three stages, on one timer

Think–Pair–Share only works if the stages are actually separate. In practice the think stage gets cut to twenty seconds, the pair stage overruns, and the share stage gets whatever is left — usually not enough. The fix is not discipline, it is a timer that runs the whole structure for you.

This opens as a three-step sequence: Think for 2 minutes, Pair for 4, Share for 6. Press Start once and it runs the lot, chiming at each change and showing which stage the room is in — \”Step 2 of 3 · Pair\” — so nobody has to ask. Change any step name or length before you start, and the timings follow your lesson rather than mine. Use Copy link to send the whole chain to a colleague or into Google Classroom; the entire sequence travels in the URL.
